Description: Gagan Gill was born in 1959 in Delhi. Her four collections of poetry include, One day the Girl Will Return; Buddhas in the Dark; Inopportune Desire and Beat Heart Beat. Jane Duran won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection with Breathe Now, Breathe (1995) published by Enitharmon Press, who also published Silences from the Spanish Civil War (2002) and Coastal (2005). Lucy Rosenstein has published extensively on Hindi poetry including Swami Haridas and the Haridasi Sampradaya: A study of early Braj Bhasha verse (1997), Nayi Kavita New Poetry in Hindi: An Anthology' 2003) and numerous articles on contemporary Hindi poetry.
