Patience  Agbabi

Patience Agbabi is a poet, performer and Fellow in Creative Writing at Oxford Brookes University. She has worked extensively with the British Council and performed her work all over the world. In 2004 she was nominated one of the UK's Next Generation Poets. Her latest collections are Transformatrix (Canongate, 2000) and Bloodshot Monochrome (Canongate, 2008). She is currently Canterbury Laureate and has recently received a Grant for the Arts to support a forthcoming collection based on The Canterbury Tales.
