Michael Henry was born in Liverpool in 1942.
After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in Modern Languages, he emigrated to Canada, where he worked as a teacher for thirteen years. He had his first poems published in Canadian magazines and also broadcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Company. Since his return to England he has lived in his home-town, Cheltenham.
He has published six collections of poems: a pamphlet published by KQBX press; four collections published by Enitharmon Press; and the latest collection published by Five Seasons Press. He has been widely published in magazines and his poems have also been included in numerous anthologies.
